  1. I read these “7 basic habits every Christian needs to develop” yesterday & thought yes that’s good, but it wasn’t till I looked at all the scriptures today that it came alive to me. The ones that especially stood out (though all are wondferful & need attention!) were 1 Cor 1:9 which emphasises our fellowship being with Christ. I reflected that this is the starting point of true fellowship. 1 John 1:3 shows that the proclamation of the Gospel allows for true fellowship. In other words, unless the true Gospel is proclaimed & accepted, how can we have true fellowship! Also Psalm 32:6 really struck me as a warning to not postone confession of sins. In v 5 David says he acknowedged his sin to God & did not cover it up & God forgave him. Then David says: “Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them.”

I recommend all the blog readers to read the scriptures attached to this post. I actually had some of those scriptures speak into some other stuff I’m facing at the moment. Ah, the Word is alive hallelujah! Praise God for His Word 🙂

  2. Lyn, welcome aboard! Thanks for your comment. I am praying God will direct as you face ‘stuff’ in your life.

I’m so pleased that you highlighted the importance of reading the accompanying scriptural references. Often these posts consist of little more than Bible quotes organised to bring out important truths.

Failing to read the references misses the purpose of the post.
